ONE UPTOWN, 2619 McKinney Ave, Dallas
ONE UPTOWN consists of a residential tower atop a six-level basement.
Bottom three basement levels were chiseled out of bed rock. Tower superstructure features interior shear walls and post-tensioned, flat plate, floor slabs. Careful placement of columns and finite element analysis of slabs, allowed floor slabs to economically extend as much as 20 ft beyond columns, to create awe-inspiring views, generous balconies, and ample shading.
